Congratulations!!!!

About the recordings... Its never allowed, I think that it wasn't last time in the Hurlingam Club  ;)

Great that we have two members in the two pre-shows, I hope they can share with us their experiences and if there are recordings... the better  ;)

You can see the place in the link below, looks disused, so I guess they can make it into a place for a gig.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

By the way, searching in google you find the Music Bank Rehearsals Rooms, where they are reahearsing with exactly that adress...

That German radio station ndr1 radio niedersachsen (lower saxony) has a 2 hour MK /DS special at the moment. It was one of the stations that sent a listener to the London show. This station used to be one of those volksmusik and schlager ones, but has changed its musical direction slightly, so now they even play ENGLISH music!!! They play all the hits, I heard Sultans, Ticket To Heaven, Walk of Life, and Lady Writer right now. In between the dj tells us all about the history of the band, the meaning of "dire straits" and all the usual stuff! Find it quite interesting to hear it from this station, a station I never could stand... The times they are a-changin...  :lol

I read on some websites now about this radio promotion. All the radio hosts were allowed to accomany the winners when they went to the London gigs. I envy them for that. Bastards...  ;D (now he talks about the red fender strat and plays "Apache" from Hank Marvin, quite good idea)

... broadcast still running... Twisting By The Pool, Private Dancer, Donkeytown, If This Is Goodbye, Blues Stay Away From Me, Yakety Axe, and right now I See You In My Dreams...

quite an astonishing compilation, and not too  much talk, I must say perfect for a lazy Saturday evening at home.. Was thinking of go to the shelf and have a look after my Hillbillies CD, and Donkeytown IS a nice song...

It`s the same with NDR1 - Welle Nord, same station but broadcasted in Schleswig-Holstein, the most northern part of Germany. It always was a station for "older ones" imo...but they changed and play good music, i.e. MK.  ;D but no MK-special here  :(

I still can't catch the meaning and purposes of those two gigs.
Promotion ? Sorry, but you don't promote anything if the contest is not open to more people from more countries.
And if eventually, the prizes happened to be kept by the journalists who were entitled to organize the contests, it's without any doubt another great PCM success !  :o

Well done Dennis and Martina !  Good to see you manage to do it !   ;)
