It's a mystery to me... ;)

I guess you're right about the watermarks, LE. The new Dylan record hasn't leaked, either, and no record could possibly be more eagerly discussed and advertised than that one. So the (short and sweet) time of album leaks just might be past and gone. :'(

Yeah, I was looking for some Dylan snippets - but nothing. Today the first track, one week before release... Strange, the Dylan fans obviously have no clue what to expect and it is just one week to go...

It's only KTGC and GL that I listened to early anyway.  Somehow I have managed to survive without this time.  Personally I think it's a good thing - it must have affected sales.

dustyvalentino in what way would it affect sales? Cause I don't really believe it affects sales in anyway. Only thing I could come up with is that people wouldn't buy it cause they think it's a crappy CD. But would they actually buy it normally without listening? I doubt it. Anyway, it's the fans that eagerly want to hear the CD as soon as possible and will buy it anyway to keep their collection complete.

Stop it! My heart can't take it anymore! Everytime I see this thread updated it skips a beat.

Can't we all agree on that the next post actually contains a link that's legit??

I don't want a leak now.  Surely we can all wait and hear it in it's full stereophonic glory on the day of it's release? ???

Yes, it's a good thing, sure. It's just annoying that you have to wait so long AFTER an album is recorded. I guess marketing strategists at the big record companies are to blame for that.

With the first Dylan track, by the way, I was slightly disappointed (and I'm a big Dylan fan). Nothing against good old blues and western swing, but maybe he should still try and write a melody now and then ... He's no Mark Knopfler in that respect, but he proofed many times that he can do it if he wants to.

Oh I liked it. It was quite melodic - for a Dylan song from my point of view. The intro sounded as "Folkshack" was playing, you remember the band that did the "Meet & Greets" in 2008? The guitar (played by Bob himself obviuosly has a great rough sound, too!

A lot of people are happy just to have the music as mp3s and don't care about having the CD in a box somewhere  as part of there "collection".

I was happy with the mp3's until I bought a decent home stereo. Listening to Brothers in Arms in 5.1 is a whole new experience.

As for those who say they don't care for a leak anymore, try living on an island in the middle of the atlantic where an amazon order will probably take two weeks to arrive :'(   I want the leak now!!!!
