It would have been in a row with "Punish the monkey" and "Cleaning My Gun" then...  ;D

Wow, I didn't know that Guy said Seattle was his favorite. Now I really wanna hear it... *ahem* regardless of its deeper meanings lol.
Now I'm excited to see the new setlist for the new tour. I sure hope MK doesn't disappoint; with so much brand new content, a setlist overhaul would be awesome.

I think the setlist will include : WII or WAM, STP, R&J, HFB, SOS, DWB, Marbletown, Speedway, TR, SFA, BIA.
This is the "vertebral column" of an ordinary MK setlist since 2008 and even before if you take away HFB and Marbletown !!!
They got a name for people like you, yeh they do

Out of his bog standard setlist, the only songs I'd really miss if they weren't played, would be SOS, TR & HFB's.
The rest I'd quite happily have a rest from this time. Not that I don't like them, but the setlist does need a major overall imo.

Yeah, and as it's "Whisky" and not "Whiskey" it will have a scottish setting - which makes it pretty sure that it will be a folky McCusker/McGoldrick tune...

Hey, having some of those folk songs is great as long as they're mixed in with some more upbeat blues rock tracks, right?
McGoldrick's OK for me, but I love John McCusker. Just remember the end of Why Aye Man 2011...
(Hehe. I couldn't help but laugh when I got the red squiggly line under McCusker, right clicked, and got the suggestion "Musketeer".)

Don't think he'll include SOS during the Dylan tour. Also, I think that's a good thing as otherwise that would've been the highlight of the evening, and MK has way too much respect for the man to do that. Next year, of course.

Thank you LE.
Not only is this a very helpful info.
I always enjoy reading your comments about Mark's songs and music.
You really get to the bottom of many things there in my opinion.
So thanks for posting your thoughts so regularly!

I have no idea what this song might be about. Who is the kingdom of gold? Who looks down on the river? Any suggestions? I guess about money market, isn't the City of London the financial district with its own laws and stuff? Or am I on a total wrong track here?

Kingdom Of Gold

The high priest of money looks down on the river
The dawn coming up on his kingdom of gold
When the rim of the sun sends an arrow of silver
He prays to the gods of the bought and the sold

He turns to his symbols, his ribbons of numbers
They circle and spin on their mystical scroll
He looks for a sign while the city still slumbers
And the ribbons and the river forever unroll
In his kingdom of gold, his kingdom of gold
Kingdom of gold, his kingdom of gold
Kingdom of gold

On the horizon an enemy haven
Sends traces of smoke high up into the sky
A pack of dog jackals and a rabble of ravens
Who
