Redbud Tree Chords
« on: July 09, 2012, 03:17:19 PM »
Hi all,

my attempt - just a quick draft:

Intro: Dm - Dm - Dm - Dm

Verse: ||: Dm - C - Bb - F - Eb - Dm :||

Chorus: F - Gm - D - Gm - C - D

Solo over Verse + Chorus (2x)

then Dm - Dm --> Verse, 2x Chorus, End (D)

I cannot check right now, but the second Gm on the chorus could be a Bb.

Isn't there some C as passing chord in the verse as well?

There are three guitars in the song, the main acoustic, the electric solo, and also another acoustic guitar that play some chords here and there...

Well, no, F - Gm - D - Gm - C - D is the right sequence for the chorus.
Many tempo changes in the song, a bit challenging.

Nice job, I just had quick strum along with your chords.

The tempo is constant, but there's a funny bar changes, I look forward to in depth explanation from Ingo!  ;D
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!

Tempo intended as bar measure (2/4, 3/4, 4/4) not as bpm.
I tried to write a simple chart of the song structure if interested.

Schema attached. Corrections welcome.
I tried to structure it with bars. you can find some 2/4, 3/4 and mostly 4/4 bars.

Really a great job. I'm one of the worst guitar player in the world, so ... if I did find the way to play something that resembles the real tune, it means your work is magnifique!

I found a little mistake on the last chorus, 4 bars more than expected.

Very nice!! Did you find that chart from the garbage bins outside British Grove?

Honestly, that's very helpful and well laid out, thank you. If Knop wants a personal assistant you should give him a call. ;D

:) Well it's a standard structure chart (I'm leading a band) you'd better use when you want to share and speed up the learning curve with your musicians. Not found in any bin, it's only reverse engineering.  :)
