I asked him also about uptempo songs and rocky songs, but he isn't responding anymore :-\

But, we know a bit more now about the album thanks to the Dutch Leo Blokhuis who interviewed Mark today and
listened to the complete Privateering album.

-So we have various styles:

Celtic
Blues
Folk
Dire-Straits-sounding-stuff

-The album is covered with wonderful calm melodics.

-The styles are mixed up over the 2 cd's (not ordered by genre)

-There are guitarsolo's, but not that much or that long.

-He likes Privateering more then Get Lucky

-He choose Miss you Blues as the nicest song.

Very interesting stuff!

I asked him his favourite song: He said 'Miss you blues'.
He don't like the celtic stuff (reminds him of Titanic)  :lol

All the MK blues were good songs :
Millionnaire blues, silvertown blues, hill farmer's blues !
They got a name for people like you, yeh they do
And they got a name for people like me too

Dutchessy, thank you for pestering him so heavily in all our names..  :lol  I was wondering how long he would be willing to answer. There were some others asking (about Dire Straits reunion and stuff). Nice to have these new information.

It seemed to me Leo was much more impressed when he came back as he was before about the idea to just fly to London and interview MK - it seems for him it was "just another job", and now he has learned that MK indeed is not just another rock star but something special... Funny how everybody really mentions how humble and modest he is...

And about Leo's album judgement, I also thought he has the view of the "common public listener" with the usual reservations. "Fan boys" (and girls) like us would probably have another, more detailled view after a first listen...

Thanks again, Dutchessy!  :D

Thanks Dutchessy for asking him all the question and thanks to Leo for answering them (pass our thanks to him please).
I agree with Love Expresso that I think Leo is an average listener, next time one of us should be the journalist  ;D ;D

Banned for saying the truth? This is nice. Now you're talking!

No, if you are banned it will be for being a dick.  Jbaent is right, we haven't had to ban people often,  butbecause the vast majority of our members are mature and polite.

Play nice or you'll be playing somewhere else.

To be fair to owierei, I respect anyone that has the guts to speak what s on their mind. So, good on ya!

In response to your points, please can you understand that it was never a question of making people beg!! Only a reluctance to post an unreleased (albeit poor audio quality radio edit) song on an unrestricted Internet link.

I'm sure you have many interesting comments on MKs career so I hope that you continue to join in AMIT discussions.
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!

Every poster should be allowed to express their opinions - as long as it is not rude, abusive, or personal attacks on other members . Not threatened with a ban for being a "dick"  :disbelief

Back to the discussion :) , we have much more informations, and also more people have chance to listen to the whole album. But it is still almost two months to the release date. Do you think the album will leak again?

Danny ,

I think it will be leaked late July. Someone always leaks it.

I know there are others that will not want to listen to it until the album's released, but if it was available , i would probably listen to it. We are different ,we will buy the album whether we get it early or not.(i,ve had all the albums since STP early)

I,ve been a fan for over 25yrs, since i was in my early teens ,seen DS,NHB and MK over 20 times, met him a couple of times etc. But still get excited when a new album's on the horizon.

So far the signs look good for this album.

Rosco, wow, you saw MK more then 20 times...respect! :)
With the potencial leakage, the same for me, I would surely listen to it, although I am even considering about buying the box set at the moment (still very amused by vision of mini van or mini dog ;D ) ...I am sure it will be great album and I am really looking forward to see the tour dates.
Actually, Get Lucky leaked last time really in late July as I remember correctly, but did KTGC leak? Or ATTR?
