Yon Two Crows: to me it sounds a little bit like Trawlermans song, love over gold, ragpickers dream, silvertown blues
and probably something else too when the whole song will be available :)

Yes, Silvertown was the first thing I thought of.  Sounds very promising! 8)

Yes, that guitar sounds at the end of the sample is very Silvertown...

There is a sequence of notes in the middle that sounds very like "Sucker Row".

Yes, let`s hope for another exclusive photo inside ! Btw (I think I wrote it before) I LOVE the artwork, this shabby style. It`s the way I do my photographing since some months, too... as a hobby-photographer... maybe I should take the photos for his next album  ;)

Good suggestion, by doing this we could make the Deluxe Box ~ 10 Euros cheaper.

Yes right, because I won`t take any money for the photos , (  my name mentioned on his album would be enough for me) he would spare a lot of money,...and I would convince him to give free cd-copies to all his true fans from amit... :D

Can't wait to hear Yon Two Crows in full. This song has such great lyrics: I get goosebumps really every time he talks the song in: Pennies from heaven - don't make me laugh - here all you'll get is the pattering rain - with some great accent in it, very angry, or grimly.. I love that! I wonder what we can expect from the rest of the song... Love it, did a say already??

Deluxe version (3 CD's) has just been listed on Play.com - currently no sign of the box set but I am keeping my fingers well and truly crossed!

I wonder how Radio City Serenade would sound when David Knopfler would have been singing it... From what I've heard so far, the one-and-a-half minute, DK's voice could be the perfect one for the song. I know, it's a silly thought. :lol

When talking about songs and reminders, Blood and Water reminded me a little of Are We In Trouble Now.

Anyway, we're here to discuss the DeLuxe Box (which I think I will NOT buy this time, maybe later on). Quite expensive and actually, the songs end up in my iPod and the box on a shelf. It's a shame, I know... ::)

I got a hold of the release plan from Universal Sweden.

Mark Knopfler / Privateering
06025 370 432-1   7    Mercury UK      FHO  Rel 5/9  Nytt studioalbum
06025 370 811-8   9    Ltd Ed med bonus-cd / hardbook
06025 370 877-8   5   Dubbelvinyl

Release in Sweden will be on the 5th of September. BUT! It looks like at least Sweden may be missing out on the Box Set  >:(

It may as well happen to other countries too...

Not necessary Border Reiver, in the Netherlands it appeared a couple of days maybe a week later than the other versions

I missed out on the British vs. German Amazon discussions. It got a bit confusing... Things seemed unclear.

From where should I pre-order??

Just wait a little, maybe Sweden will do, otherwise I think amazon.de is best for you (distance not too far and price in Germany is ok
