About the cover: He says that everybody who had that kind of car in the early days was immediately very welcome to play in a band. He also wanted to go away from that "saber rattling" image from the pirates idea and repeats that he loves to be on his own with his own crew and band, give the direction,
no government grant, surroundings change on a daily base... exactly like a privateer.
He also states that he certainly didn't want to make a "concept album", and also did not wanted to separate the songs because of their different directions, and also did not want to put some classic songs into the drawer for later times. He just wanted to document this outburst of creativtiy with a great band - and also wanted to document how great the sessions were they had... "Like artists coming together and reading a script, they filled this music in my head with life"
Very friendly words about Kim Wilson and Ruth Moody, and about the band: "This is the best possible band I tried to get my whole life".
Other suggestions and contributions very welcome.
