Salvador said I got him in trouble last time with the design from the GL box. So no sneak preview this time!

But it was nice from you to ask! Very much appreciated!  ;)

As a visitor to France on holiday I personally love the FNAC stores;  they are everything HMV should be.

Just ordered the deluxe box in my favourite store. They only order this one for me. They didn't know the price yet but said that it had to be around 100 Euro.

But if you live in the UK I would order mine at HMV, and hope to win the signed fender : http://hmv.com/hmvweb/navigate.do?pPageID=5070

Funny, I was exactly wishing we had HMV and not FNAC.  ;D
FNAC used to be great in the 80's , we could find anything.
John Illsley's albums... for example.
I remember I could easily find Never told a soul in Paris 25 years ago...
Things have changed.

Recently I wanted to buy a copy of Real Live Roadrunning and I couldn't find.
The saleslady explained me, not nicely, that what I was trying to buy was ATTR.
And she knew better than me.  :disbelief

I won't tell you the story when they accused ME of stealing a f***g  box of 10 blank DVD's !!!!

I don't like FNAC but I will buy my copy of Privateering there.  There's even a chance they have it before august 31st..  8)

I think it's only the Cannes and Paris branches I have experience of.  HMV have - in the past couple of years - started selling some small electrical equipment like iPod docks, tablets, headphones etc.  Still a long way to go though to catch up to FNAC in my opinion where they sell all sorts and I found a lot of rare CD's, DVD's and imports too.

I used to be a FNAC fan when they opened in Valencia about ten years ago (maybe more) as they had a lot of cds, dvds etc etc and at very very cheap prices, but that was long ago.

They still have many cds at cheap prices, selection of classics of many bands and they change it from time to time, so if you find the bargain, its a good deal, but that Fnac is not what used to be... well, nothing is  :(

Remember how bad are CDs sales. You can't put money in huge stock anymore.

It would be interesting to see how different artists sales breakdown into format. I would suspect that MK still sells CD's significantly over downloads purely because of his fan base.

Very true.  I can't see any of us on here only purchasing his album as a download.  This makes his record sales figures even more impressive.
