Privateering Deluxe editions?
« on: July 04, 2012, 11:06:11 AM »
I thought that it was a good idea to open a thread to talk specifically about the deluxe editions of Privateering

I found on this site http://auspop.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/australian-cd-new-release-schedule-june_21.html the following information:

August 31

Great news as long as they're not exclusively available down under.

I stick to the same principle I followed with Get Lucky release. If the box contains everything you can get if you buy any of the other two editions, I

Imho, the total (emotional) value of the content in the GL box didn't by any means match the price. Box-exclusive songs always has a tendancy to fly around, sooner or later. The videos were tubed and what was left could never justify the difference in pricing between the Deluxe version and Box set.

This time around I'm not settling for bits of plastic and paper and an LP that you most certainly know won't ever be played (the poker chips might still be some of the priciest in the world).

There better be a Madrid DVD or "official live recording" lying around post-unboxing  ;D

I agree with that, the content of the box was crap 100%, not by itself but because it was very over-priced.

I guess that the box, if there is a box in the end, will contain the vinyl version, and if Get Lucky had two vinyls, Privateering must have between three and four of them in order to contain 20 songs!!! And probably the 3cd deluxe edition, and some other stuff...

What other stuff? This is when I repeat the joke about the mini van and the mini dog  ;D

Strange... I have just e-mailed Universal in Norway asking for some information on this, although I don't know if they will answer. If they do, you will know :)

Thank you for the link of Bol.com Camerado!  ;)

I wonder what this will be, because they call this : "Privateering - Deluxe" and mention 2 CD's for the price of Euro 30,99.
In the first message of Jbaent they are talking about Deluxe edition 3Cd's!

Well we have to wait to see what really is meant with "Deluxe". ::)

Funny you should mention box sets,I was up in the attic a few days ago & I came across some MK  back stage passes stickers that I got with something or other so I dont think I'll be shelling out for the "dog tags" (joke :P) that may come with the privateering box set as in my own case they end up gathering dust somewhere.I went in to my local music store today for a look around & I picked up the Paul Simon 25th anniversary edition of Graceland with a dvd for

I don't really understand what they provide. Live recordings? We should mix the recordings ourselves? ;D

I guess that could mean "just stereo" (2-track). And it's obvious setlist-wise that we will have some official live recording from the 2011 tour. I think it's great! Although Privateering and Haul Away also should have been included!
