Pottel is it free delivery? I refrained from ordering from any Amazon, because it takes more that 10  working days most of the time and the shipping cost is excruciating. OK, amazon.co.uk says it is free delivery over an amount but the prices there for new releases are always higher.

Got the same email from MK.com and still wonder, why the official site can't deliver earlier or the same day with Amazon, but probably 7-14 days later. The only thing I can assume (on their favour) is that the new album presales went over the estimated ones and they yhad to give all of the stock to Amazon to avoid any legal implications-penalties. Of course that means that they produced a smaller amount, thinking that the super deluxe won't sell, just like the GL.But , I am just assuming.

Probably the delay is due to themshipping boxes to Canada to send them to europe again...


Anyway, the Mk guys do some great job with the presales, front row for the last couple of tours.

Asked at the shop I preordered yesterday and they said Yes, your order is here but we can't sell it to you until tommorow.
I send my intellectually challenged wife to pick it up today (I tell her exactly what it is and how much it will cost) and she brings home the normal 2cd discs!
I ring the shop, No your order hasn't come in, we don't have any deluxe editions.

Devastated!

I've taken back the cd and got my money back just because of the stupid shop fkin me around, I'll buy it somewhere else!

You seem to be in France like me, could you help me with my dilemna ?
On the one hand, despite me being pissed at having to buy both the SD and Deluxe boxes to get everything (contrary to what FNAC says btw !!), I still want to buy them ASAP... Now, it seems that it is better to buy directly at a FNAC shop on monday rather than preordering; but, doing so, I loose the so-called preferential sitting for pre-ordering... but reading this forum I am now under the impression that this preferential sitting is bullshit anyway, that going at the opening of presales on MK.com will give me a better seat than the FNAC ones....

What should I do ?? I'm really confused... I have until Sunday to pre-order, I really feel like giving this a miss and showing up physically on a shop on monday... Am I right ?

Maybe they'll have the deluxe edition in other stores ? Virgin, supermarkets....
The deluxe edition is also delayed at amazon.fr.
I think it's a general delay due to the supplier

My wife got her De Luxe edition yesterday afternoon - a delivery from Universal, I think - and, with commendable restraint, only opened it this morning, some 16 or so hours later. Life is very busy these days. She is very pleased with the package. The LPs feel heavyweight, with the sleeve and labels of each LP matching --- and those heavy LPs can be pretty pricey to buy from the specialist firms. 

We have a car journey tomorrow, so I'll probably dub the album on to "slave" CDs today and we'll play the new album as we drive along.

I have ordered my copies (deluxe and superdeluxe edition around a month ago)by amazon it. Amazon write me that the delivery is expected after 7 september for super edition and 16 september for deluxe edition.
I try to download mp3 from amazon de but for my country (italy) the sale is not possible. Same story for itunes. WHY WHY WHY   
Is not good that country so near has so different way to got the same thing. In amazon de is possible, as know, is possible obtain your perfect song, in italy n :disbeliefo.

Anyway Privateering is a great album , another collection of songs, some great. some better but all make with heart. I am very happy when listen the voice and the guitar of Dire Straits

So glad I went to another shop and bought the standard CDs (again) - having the best evening listening to Privateering.
Shame, cos I was really interested in the live tracks, but I doubt I'll re-buy unless they're brilliant - ill catch them on YouTube no doubt!

At amazon.de a German customer wrote in his review that he has the Super Deluxe Edition with the download coupon of the Madrid show, but TELEGRAPH ROAD!! is missing...

I guess he is right - he checked the www and found the official setlist with TR of course, but it is not contained in his download. 

So if there was any reason for me NOT to buy the Super Deluxe, this one will do it! I can't believe it.... They sold it two years abo via simfylive complete and now....

Maybe someone of our Super Deluxe-AMITers can check??

Privateering is Number 1 at the amazon.de charts btw...
