So, the content of the box:

Standard 2cd: CRAP, having the chance to include the 3cd version, put the standard is rest value to it

2 Vinyls: CRAP (for me), I dont have turntable, and I consider that its something that if you want th vinyls its because you have one, so you will buy that version, totally without any value for me

Bonus cd with 3 extra songs: well, at least something with any real value

DVD: Almost CRAP, "A life in songs" documentary its fine, but as its been broadcasted by the BBC so often, and almost everyone with internet connection had downloaded and watched it, just a minimum value because they are offering it officially

Artprint: I dont know what it is, but looks like an something aditional, that if its there, ok, if not, who cares?

Code to download a concert: CRAP, they have everything recorded from 2005 to 2011, and they decided to put a concert that has been offered paying and that the fans that will buy the box, probably already have...

MK himself told in an interview to all this deluxes etc etc are crap...

He says it has nothing to do with him, but with the record company.
Yes I know about that, but maybe he should put his foot down about this.
How about an official letter to the company? Of course as I have already said, their easy answer would be "don't buy".And that is exactly why they don't have to ask the fans. They have paid enormous amounts of money for statistical research, psychological charts etc, to understand how a fan feels and behaves. Any thoughts about how to fight this, or if it worths fighting about?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Wait... In fact the GL box was better. It had an intersting dvd with Guy videos from the 2008 tour, a cd with 3 bonus songs, the Limited edition of GL (with a nice dvd that was not in the standard), and the crap was less crap.

De GL CD+DVD was also standard available. Got two of them at home. One in the Deluxe Box and bought one as present for my mum.

In general I see your point and I agree on it. I have the GL box but it's just standing on a shelf catching good ol' dust. Have played the vinyl once or twice and that's it. I'd rather buy a separate vinyl with the actual cover as I like BIG covers. Have the KTGC single + album as vinyl. It's just cool to look at as it's slightly bigger than a normal album to look at. But playing it? No chance, don't have a record player no more! :lol

On Friday I'll get the 2CD privateering. The rest I'll download (buy) via iTunes or elsewhere when there's a possibility for having the additional hidden tracks too (your perfect song/occupation blues/river of grog/follow the ribbon).

Oh and by the way: the artprint everyone is talking about is only a printed version of the cover as far as I can see. See also the picture of the superdeduperdewhateverdeluxe box.

Although the show to download beeing a GL one is not the best news as already released by Simfy I would point out :

- the source recording is much probably sourced from MK crew (and not Simfy) and so, a different mix
-  we can hope for flac format  instead of mp3.

But an US show would have been much better...

I stated my take on this earlier: It might be possible that on the pic we just see the sleeve and the art print is INSIDE. How dull would it be to number
an art print on the front, on the print itself? I expect the number on the back of the print... ?  ::)

I agree, it might look a bit dull to have the number on the front. However, it's quite common to have a number on the front instead of the back. Got my vinyl True love will never fade single also with a number on the front, as well as a lot of art hanging around in the house. Anyway, on Friday (or Monday) we'll see what's inside. ;)
