Dylan has recently started a European tour and, for the first two shows at least, played a baby grand piano for a number of songs. If there's a grand piano on stage, is this an opportunity for Guy Fletcher to join Dylan and Knopfler for a song or two?

Incidentally, Dylan's done three shows on the new tour so far - 16 or 17 songs a night (50 in total) but 30 different songs and 9 of those not performed at all on his previous tour. Oh, if only MK would take a leaf out of Bob's book and mix up the set lists a bit more!

I dont think that would happen. Its more likely that Bob sits at the piano while MK plays guitar, if they play together (that I hope so) but I dont see Bob asking MK to have one of his keyboard players with him, nor MK suggeting it...

MK is more comfortable with a list of songs that will be played night after night and two or three songs that can be changed eventually, and I preffer that nowadays. If MK plays, for example, the RAH, and plays 6 nights and I can pnly attend one of them, I will hate that he plays some songs the rest of the days that were not played on the one I attented, specially if I preffer some of that songs to some of the played in "my concert".

Is the safety zone for fans  :)

the journalistic reviews of the Berlin show were very good, they referred to last year's show in the O2 arena and said it was WAY better this time, and wonder what made him change that much.
interesting prospect.
i have tickets for tonights show in Bonn but cannot make it, if someone wants a ticket at face value and lives in the NRW region in germany (so they can come and pick it up) i would be happy to even drop the price a bit.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

There are some pretty poor reviews on ER, though, even from die-hard fans!   One fan, in particular, has changed his opinion of Bob quite dramatically after attending the Berlin show!

I'm gonna see BD next Sunday and it will be a total surprise.  I didn't listen to any 2012 recording.
I don't care about negative reviews and to be honest it gives me some hope.

the review was from a newspaper, explicitly comparing (and liking) this show with lastyear#s show, and really wondering where the sudden change of performance comes from. nota fan review.

I only would give something on a Bob review from any AMITer who maybe attended last years' shows. One thing I learned about following the last Dylan tour somewhat more intense is that you can't give a damn on Bob Dylan concert reviews in press and media.

And if there would be any chance to utilize the grand piano on stage, I would think it is more a chance for Jim Cox to join in than for Guy.

Was he playing some unreleased stuff from the forthcoming album (Bob, I mean)?

Apparently, nothing from the new album.

A clip of BD on piano:
