Nice! This album has Mark's best artwork to date, in my opinion. Surprised by the GB sticker, though, since many of the songs have such a southern (US) feeling. I expected that van to be parked somewhere down in Alabama ...
Funny how tastes differ because not only do I think this is Mark's worst artwork to date but I think it's possibly the worst of anyone! Dated, unoriginal, uninspiring, boring, unattractive and not even practical. Eeew, yuk!
I take it you don't like it then, dmg!
I got my message across then!
I was just thinking that upon it's release and when it's in the record shops on the new releases wall, will it really stand out? I don't think so, and the cover wouldn't inspire me to buy it if I weren't a fan either.
The autumn colours and broken-down van suggest to me words like weary, fatigued, restful, sedate, dilapidated... Words that would entice me to buy would be exactly the opposite of these adjectives but that cover just puts the wrong words into my mind and isn't really a representation of the album contents either.
