Thanks dmg (was it?) for telling us about the previews! This made my day!

Really got a lot of thoughts and feelings now, but I guess that's gotta wait for the release and full songs.

However, Kim Wilson was present quite a lot in this one!

Yup definitely a blues album, I think we hoped for this before right guys? I really liked Haul Away, it sounds so good in this studio version. Go, love and Dream of Drowned Submariner are going to be my top favorites from this album, I think, but there are just so many lol. Still it's very early to judge, so it's best to wait until the release. The blues tracks have a lot of harmonica in them as far as I can tell!

Kingdom of Gold seems to one of the stronger MK songs. It reminds me very much of "The new Laird" - mixed with "Sands Of Nevada" in way...

About Kim Wilson:

I could imagine that there are a lot of people that might not so happy with the fact that there are a lot of classic blues STANDARDS on this album - something that is not typical for MK:

After having listened to these snippets

-Don't Forget Your Hat
-Hot Or What
-Got To Have Something
-I Used To Could
-Gator Blood
-Today Is Okay

I can confirm that Kim Wilson plays heavily on all of them and these are typical blues numbers with the typical twelve bar chord progession, including the standard sub form variations. So people who love the way MK mixes styles and offers a melange of everything, might be disappointed. But it all sounds so great, with a lot of guitar in front (not automatically solos), and almost all of those six listed songs above are so energetic that I really am happy that he finally did it!
Roll on, August, 31st...

I love harmonica, especially when it's played well, as on Guy's Bluesband album, so I'm sure I will be a very happy bunny!   ;D

You will, but you are anyway, aren't you? I was listening to the Deluxe version all the time, now I changed to the standard album, and there I was alble to listen to Haul Away. Sooo great.... Sung with even much more feeling and emotion.

This could be his masterpiece.

Miss you blues & Bluebird are also blues tracks but they're slower, and I prefer these two. From what I heard of the 6 songs you mentioned, I notice a proeminence of Kim Wilson harmonica solos, whereas I woud have prefer more guitar solos.
It would be great if he went on tour and so they could play Baloney Again, which is a fantastic song !

Once you're in the uk store, you search privateering and you'll find it.
