The guy with the shades behind the GT40 def. is mark. And the one behind the "f-type"(?) could well be him.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I'm not so sure about the Jaguar f-type picture. Maybe in some days pictures will follow at f-type.com.

I'm wondering if he actually did drive a car at this Goodwood FOS?!

Anyway, I'm so much looking forward to the new album, but don't want to end the summer too soon. Why can't they change the release date to the 2nd of July?  :D
And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.

Mmm, I don't really think it's Mark in the F-Type - it doesn't look like his ear and there's too much hair!     ;D  It's MK in the other picture - the folded arms are typical!   ;)

So far, I still have hopes for this summer!

In my honest opinion, the face of PC has become more slim recently. In addition, didn't MK usually attend Goodwood on his own or with GF?!

It's most probably Mike Cross, "Jaguar's head of vehicle integrity"...

Or maybe it's David Gilmour...

Many thanks, Jeroen for the information.    When I saw Ruth Moody at Transatlantic Sessions in January, she reminded me a bit of Gillian Welch. who was on the STP album, so I'm looking forward to hearing "Redbud Tree" very much.

"Several blues originals" interests me in particular and I feel very excited about this album.   :)

This is a more detailed text than what I had found - I was just about to add a new line about that all the song were "thoroughly soulful" - a line I found in another German newspaper. But Jeroen had it faster and it is great to see that there will be a single obviously? And not Haul Away or Privateering, but the opening track? What else should be the meaning of "taken from the eighth solo album"?

According to the contact at Universal Redbud Tree will be the first single.  I just copied and paste the press release she gave me.

And Guy Fletcher on bass, will this be the "surprise" he was talking about?

After thinking about it for a while I must say that I doubt that we really get a "real" single... I guess we will have some "promo-only" cd to radio and journalists... the same that had happened during the last albums... although it would be nice to have a real single again with some bonus tracks on it...

And, by the way:

"Several blues originals"?  I wonder about the use of term "original" here. My first impression was that he has covered some Blues originals. But I guess it has another, different meaning? Which songs of Mark's catalogue would you call "blues original"? Marbletown? Southbound Again?

Sonny Liston, Junkie Doll, etc. One of the few straight blues songs he's done is Can't Beat the House. Mark often writes bluesy songs, which I like a lot - Calling Elvis and so forth.  :)
