We had nothing, but names and number of tracks. No use talking about it. Maybe it is the slightly special edition. Or the executive one. Or the super limited edition for the fans of AMIT. Or last but not least the blow up edition. You get 4 CDs to play in two locations at the same time.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Maybe some title or the order of the tracks are not definitive.

Or the super limited edition for the fans of AMIT.

You didn't get the order info for that one? Oh...er...sorry about that.  :-[

Or Terry has to include the TRACK LENGTHS. Well, that would take his time, wouldn't it.

The great irony about this is of course that what is supposed to be so great about MK News is that the 'news' is always official, reliable, definitive, and pretty much set in stone.

Actually, since the very beguining, in MKNEWS it was said "Provisional Tracklist", as I mentioned here the very same day it was released, so, if there is any change, we knew that it was provisional, so, its official, its realiable, and since it was said as "provisional" is not, obviously, set in stone.

I suppose it has something to do with the one who is doing the "news" on both sites. He is always called Mr Important, so maybe he thinks he can keep things for himself. By the way on HMV the setlist is still there.

You might remember I commented that MKNEWS put "Provisional track list" when refering to the Privateering double cd tracklist...

Well, right now, in MKNEWS and at mk.com, the tracklist is GONE.

Maybe it doesnt mean anything, maybe it means something, and if it does... what does it means?

If it does mean something, I think about the 2cd version will have less songs, and that songs will be added to the "deluxe box" in order to make it more attractive... thats my guess.

Hm... Strange. However, the full 20 song track list is still present on Guy's webpage, so I suppose that's the right one...

Yes, but, if the 20 tracklist was on both officials sites before... whay arent now?

Something happened. maybe its nothing, but...

You've got a point. I hope it's in our favor...

I bet it's because someone told Mark that Beanstalk is written Beanstalk and not Bean Stalk... So he fell into a deep depression and thought about shelving the whole damned thing, but now he is just re-writing the track listing....

Keep things for himself? What things? The tracklist was already in the site, and as provisional tracklist, so what is keeping? If its deleted from the site has to be because someone (the record company or the management) asked him to do it...

I can understand that you dont like him by whatever the reasons, I respect that, but in this case, I really think that you are chasing ghosts and letting that "whatever" happened affect your opinion about it.

Yes, I was not aware of it at the time but I know you mentioned it the other day. It was basically a nod to the criticism that MK News is often behind in terms of releasing news, but that it is on the other hand supposed to be reliable. We'll see what happens.

Not, it was a "mistake" by the canadians that are in charge of www.markknopfler.com, nothing to do with MKnews...

And honestly, I hope they do it again  ;D

If only the person in charge of the archives at Mercury could do the same : demos, outtakes, unreleased live recordings....
