Yes Super Val but it was not on Guitar Magazine I noticed this. He said it again in a filmed interview too that I saw recently on AMIT TV, only thing is that I can't exactly remember if it was on Les Enfants du Rock with Antoine De Caunes in 1984 or if it was on another one. Got to check it!!
PS. It was indeed at the end of the French interview!!!

About Badges, I think it is part of the LoG sessions, first appearing as the B side of PI. Dance EP comes in two versions, one with 3 songs, and one with Badges added. In a way it doesn't quite glue with the rest, it is more of a shuffle than rock and roll, but it was probably put there to satisfy the fans that couldn't find the PI single and wanted everything by their fav band. (Until 1991, the only single B side that was not released in an LP or EP was Eastbound train). Anyway it has a loose feeling and maybe that is why they thought that would go well with the rest.
