What a lovely track and what a tease that sample was - just as Mark was about to let loose the Gibson!!! Roll on the 17th...

Hi Fieneke!   I agree!  It is great to be a member of this forum and I really enjoy chatting to the lovely guys here, but somehow the ladies have become seriously outnumbered these days!   Ladies, if you read this, please come back to us so that we can have all the delicious drooly posts again - and more serious stuff too, of course!   :o

The clip was short, so it's difficult to judge, but my impression is that Mark has gone for a different angle on the song, as one would hope (expect, even). It is so easy to find oneself following the cadence of a well-remembered version from one's past. Mark's vocal changes the points of emphasis within the lyric.

As many of you will know, McCartney has recently released an album of favourite songs from his own youth. This is understandable and, in a way, commendable but, in Macca's case,  some of the songs don't really sound like him.  Mark, at least, has avoided that trap, as far as we can hear from this short clip.

Does anyone know if, vocally,Mark just contributes this section of the song or is there more of the lyric from him?

Also, are there any indications that he might have been delving into the Great American Songbook?

Finally, a suggestion for the ladies.  If you wish to apply "Fifty Shades of Grey" here, why not start a "Cool Drools" thread? Just an idea!

Being a newbie, I didn't know that. So, why not resurrect it?

We would need more of the ladies to return to the fold first, but it would be great if it was resurrected, because I remember we all had such a lot of fun!   :)
