Fantastic! I can perfectly well imagine the embarrassment. But who has a white carpet in their hallway anyway? And especially in Britain where it's almost uncommon to take your shoes off inside. Then again, we're talking about a country where people put carpet in the toilet and still install sinks with seperate faucets

Thanks Jackal, for giving the hint for us Non UK people. He has a strong dialect, hasn't he? I was able to follow though. I am not sure: Did he report about any reaction of Mark about this shit  ? I general, he has only the nicest words about Mark, just imagine.

I never expected to be discussing the carpeting or otherwise of toilets etc here but, like the others, I have no carpeting in the toilet, bathroom or similar. And the same was true of the last house where I lived for 25 years. Even my mother, who will be 90 this year and has lived in her house for well over 40 years, has no carpeting in these rooms.

I was of course joking, folks, and grossly over-generalizing BUT it is a fact that you see new sinks with seperate faucets AND new homes where people choose carpeting in their bathrooms. I'm happy to see AMITers not being part of that group hehehe.
