Michael Oldfield (writer of the Dire Straits book)
« on: December 20, 2011, 05:24:21 PM »
Did any of you have an idea of how to get in touch with him?

I tried searching internet but all the links go to Mike "Tubullar bells" Oldfield, links to reference to the books etc etc

I also tried to search Sidwick and Jackson, or Quill (the publishers that published the book in 1984) but without any success...

Any help?

Hi,
Are there not any clues in the psysical book, regarding Oldfield ?.

The first many pages searching this topic ends up in libraries, book sites etc, some even claiming its the same person, eg. the author and "tubular bells" Michael Oldfield.

I read the book some 112 years ago or so. Inside the book there must be some more information on him, the author.

Good luck..
cheers peter

if memory serves, it is only said on the back that the writer had collaborate with Mark when he was journalist, and they have studied journalism together, or something like that

but I can't remember any personnal info about him

You could contact New Musical Express, which took over Melody Maker, where Michael Oldfield was a journalist and editor.

Ok thanks.

I already contacted with the publisher that owns the rights of his book, but I think I
