The unreleased DVDs
« on: November 15, 2011, 08:40:07 PM »
Not sure what this thread's for, however..

Do you guys think that all the unreleased video material ever will find its way out to us fans? I mean, there's several concerts recorded from Love over Gold tour (not only London, also some Paris gigs). And maybe the most interesting, the "almost released" STP one. Not to forget the semi DS/Hillbillies reunion in 2002. Probably more. I'd cut my arm off for one of those.

Of course, we don't lack new MK music, but admit it would be great.

All of them. Every new release will be a pleasure. Even a DVD of the duolian fingerpickers would be awesome.

Without Alan in 2002 it was not really DS.
He was the man that built the keyboard sound and arrangements for them.

Absolutely the Madrid 2001 DVD.  The audience one is played out now!  I know they say DVD's can't be but mine has been played so often that the laser has burned through the plastic and coming out the door of the player!  I now get a nice light show when I play it but the quality isn't too good. ;D

Poor Alan!  :lol

I'd like the Sydney concert, I can't get the thing off torrent without waiting 10 weeks!
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!

I totally agree. DS wouldn't have sounded the way we all know, without him

for many fans, Alchemy is DS at their best, and of course Alan's arrangements are at least for 50% in that sound

I like Wembley 85, but to me it isn't the holy grail of DS videos. It lacks Ride across the river, my fav song from this era

I'd prefer the unrealeased songs of Alchemy, or these other 82-83 shows I've never heard of.  ???

My 2 first unofficials gigs I've seen on TV were Chorus 78 and Mandela 88. Of course, they're avalaible on boots, but their official release will make me happier than Wembley.

Tunnel of love is great in 85-86, but  I miss the transition with Portobello Belle, like in 83 (in 82, it wasn't yet)
The ultimate version of TOL would be : Portobello Belle linked to TOL, with the sax transition (as in Alchemy), and then the Uniondale version  :P

My answer would be none of the above. I would prefer to have the full 7/10/85 video, should it still exist somewhere. I'd also like to see the Passaic '79 screen feed video.

Is he the one who fixed their bicycle before Guy arrived too? ;D
