MK related ringtones.
« on: November 02, 2011, 10:48:53 PM »
Hi. After having the SOS solo as my ringtone for over a year now, i've finally decided to change
it to 'Freeway Flyer' from the soundtrack 'Local Hero'
The one with the car engine at the start. It works really well as a ringtone.
In the past, i've also had the opening riff to 'Single Handed Sailor' & 'Southbound Again'
Has anyone else got an MK or DS ringtone? :)

I used to have "What It Is" as a ringtone for a while, then the Metroland instrumental. Right now it's the solo of "Telegraph Road", the one that starts after MK sings "Like a rolling river..." and which he's been omitting since the 2008 tour  :(

My ringtone is Setting Me Up, and I occasionally use the start of Telegraph Road as a wake up alarm - very gentle whistle that doesn't startle you immediately.
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!

I have the intro of Punish the Monkey. Perfect as a ringtone.

I find horns work better than guitars as ringtones, especially saxophones. I've got Take Five with the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Sounds great. I used to have a version of Wee Allen's Alley, but it gave a mild heart attack every time the phone rang ...

Back in the day I used to have MFN, but it was still just during the midi days, so it sounded like crap.
Then I had a part of TOL alchemy ending solo (finally mp3), but it was too anxoius for a ringtone.
Now I have BIA mandela middle solo with snare drums, it's fantastic.

Cannibals ... the opener from Tour 2008 (particularly the Hamburg version).

For a while, I had SOS piano solo as a ring tone.  Now I switched to the beginning solo of TOL from the Alchemy tour.  My wake up alarm is still R&J.  Text message alert is early SOS.

And I love getting phone calls.
