Too bad they only played one song from their past cooperations. Blind Willie McTell. Such a same. It would be great to hear something from Slow train or Infidels. No, no, just slow train for me. Maybe even Death is not the end...
But one of my favorites, excellent in providing many empty spaces to be filled by MK's guitar, would What was it you wanted. Such a great song. For those of you that have not heard it, give it a listen. In fact listen to the whole Oh, Mercy record.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Oh Mercy is a great album, one thing it has in common with Infidels is some unusual choices by Bob of which songs to include and leave off the album. Dylan didn't include Series Of Dreams, Dignity or Born In Time on the record. Born In Time was re-recorded and appeared on the next album(Under The Red Sky, one of Bob's most under-rated albums imo.)
One of the highlights of Bob's book Chronicles is the chapter focusing on the writing and recording of Oh Mercy.

Agreed. It is a brilliant album, I guess it was criticised at the time because the songs were not what a lot of critics expected from Bob, I remember seeing Bob play Cats In The Well at a show a few years ago and it was one of the highlights of the gig.

Nuremberg songs added. No new songs today neither...

Maybe tomorrow Insbruck would have more luck  :)
