Mark started promptly at 19:30hrs to which he came to the stage complete with his Blue Gibson...
And here is what followed....
* Why aye man (Blue Gibson)
* Cleaning my gun
*Sailing to Philadelphia (MK Strat - hooray!)
*Hill Farmers Blues
*Privateering  (My fave of the eve if I have to have one!)
*Song for Sonny Liston
*Done with Bonaparte
*A night in Summer long ago (National)
*Marbletown
*Brothers in Arms
*So far away

A truly wonderous 73 mins spent in the company of MK and was worth the money to us!! By the way the T-Shirts are great and I bought one of each design. I will try and post a couple of piccies to show you all. They both have the tour dates on the reverse which is a nice touch....
* Mark Knopfler - NOT just a hobby, but a way of life!

* Owner of Two Fender 'Mark Knopfler' Signature Series Stratocaster's (SE00616 & SE03805) both with signed Fender labels after meeting MK at Bridport, Dorset UK on the 27/09/2013!

I never quite understood why an artist would choose to play the same songs every night when the have a large number of good songs in their arsenal. I would think it could get boring for them as musicians.
i think it is his perfectionism obstructing him, also, he does not get it, that we, the freak fans ,go to multiple shows, and hence would love to see variety.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

How does WAM sound?  Is the riff accompanied by Guy's keys or does it sound more like from 05/08 tours?
"...and I blew up the radio in pretty short order."

No ice cream then for poor old Bob?  ;D

Or maybe rehearsals for My Back Pages didn't run smoothly...

I don't care if Dylan plays umpteen different songs every night.   It really doesn't matter, because when I heard him in Manchester,  everything sounded exactly the same!  It could have been the same song all evening for all I know!  Same key, same tempo, .....  ::)    I'd much rather hear MK playing his setlist any day!   :)

maybe they read AMIT complaints about not playing together and decided to give it a go just to please us. Is it Going going gone? ;)
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
