Yes, and another one that was confirmed by Guy as "Corned Beef City", which was the song that rocked a little bit more I suppose? (And Mark was using the Danelectro with a slide)

If we don't have the lyrics to both of these songs by the end of Bobs concert tonight, then I say that someone should buy me tickets, airfare, accommodation and I'll get the job done. Deal?

OK, Corned Beef City is an mid tempo rocker, similar feel to Gravy Train or No Wonder She's Confused. MK playing slide on the Danelectro, I assumed Donegan when I saw it.

Privateers is a Celtic type thing, starts off quiet with MK and RB playing a folky acoustic thing, similar feel to Marbletown or imagine Border Reiver played acoustic. Then between verses the full band come in to rock it up a bit. Good tunes. :)

According to Guy Fletcher and Isaac, this is not Privateers but Privateering.
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Isaac twittered a few minutes ago that they played a THIRD NEW SONG! And he says it would sound good, too! (Ok, whatever that means...)

What's wrong with MK? How cool is that? I would never have expected him to do that! :o I was guessing one new song at the same place in the set list from the first to the last show at the most...

Great info dusty, who's going to be the first with lyrics? :)

There is the chance these songs will develop from what you lucky folk are hearing now, and when they are on a cd one day!

That's a good point, Fletch.  Just recently, Guy said he often thought they should play the songs live first, then record them for the cd later. :)
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright

I would think they are ready, mixed and done already?
Maybe they use some of the recordings of this tour for some bonus stuff! Would be so cool...

Or maybe it is not finally decided which tracks get on the album and which not...

This somewhat "lame" evening had a very great ending!  8)

Isaac said that "a ship was mentioned" in the new song. So it seems the new album will contain some of the best stuff that MK was always able to write about...  And I stick my neck out here and now by proclaiming that "PRIVATEERING" will be the title of the new album next year!  ;)

Lyric snippets from memory:

Corned Beef City had something about needing to put diesel in the tank.

Privateering or whatever it's called had a great line about (not verbatim) "Working not strictly in the service of the crown."

The drum beat on the rocky bit of Privateering confused my slightly - it was a straight ahead 4/4 "rock" beat, which you don't usually have on a folky song like this, but it worked.

As for the new Les Paul, it was light blue so probably more cyan than Pelham Blue but it could have been the lights. It definitely, 100%, had a "stinger" on the headstock and a "new" white switch tip (Google if you don't know what I'm talking about!). The Danelectro looked new as well.

There are a LOT of lyrics to Privateering;  it's basically a novel!  So I hop you'll forgive us for neglecting to memorise them! ;D

Can't wait to hear these new tunes at Bournemouth on the 14th. They sound like good 'uns from what I've read here  :).

That said, maybe I actually shouldn't see the gig as in case it results in me buying a cyan Les Paul. ;D.
