Yes, I agree.  Having been twice in a standing audience at Amsterdam, there was definitely more of an excitable atmosphere there than at the seated audiences elsewhere, but I think the enthusiasm for MK and the band was still very apparent at both, whether seated or standing.   Perhaps the audience listens more intently in a seated venue.   :)

Yes, the seated/standing thing is a factor, as well as the country. I'm sure GA shows in Spain are MUCH more energetic than in Germany  ;D
Oh well, MK is not Bruce Springsteen (where the heck does HE get all the energy from? I think he's the same age as MK...), and as long as the mood, the quality and the music is right...  :) I'd prefer MK not to play seated again, though  ;D

Well, you know, sometimes "A little bit of this, get you up", and you can go on heavy heavy fuel...

No first they took off from England, unless they traveled by bus.

Early 1978, mostly unknown band I would say bus+ferry.
Add a pot smoke MK at that time.

10 year old thread resurrection :)
Great video of the band. I've always wondered why Mark preferred singing through a SM57 rather than a 58? He does it right through until the Alchemy era, maybe it was just to be 'different' but it's an odd decision. Witness Freddie Mercury using an SM58 for Live Aid like you're supposed to as a lead vocalist :)
