How much are the Simfy recordings?

I hope MK is recorded by 'our' usual suspects and I hope we
Will be able to obtain them:)

aaah, i already got one MK recording by good old Soomlos, hope he plans to do a show or 30....
also i will do Antwerp and Oberhausen.
Simfy or no Simfy (which i will buy of course)
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I also hope our friends from BD side will help recording. That would be great. We need as many recordings as possible.
Because of the video recording ban and also because of Simfy, I'm afraid many people from our side think there's no need to tape anymore.

So many shows from GL tour were not recorded tour.
Just think it's sad.  The technology allows us to tape easily and discretely.  :disbelief

Don't get me wrong : I don't blame anyone  ;)

I will consider there's no Simfy and no official video recording.
And I will try to record everything possible, just in case, including BD  ;) ::)

Imagine that MK and Bob play one or two songs every night, and that songs, every night are different songs...

Imagine harder, after the tour, all that songs are compiled and released in a cd called "Bob Dylan & Mark Knopfler live in concert"

Is it too hard to imagine?

 ;D

So Long

Considering that Dylan has played around a hundred shows a year, every year, for the last more than 20 years, it may be a surprise to some MK fans to learn that almost (but not quite) all have been recorded by someone somewhere along the way.  In the 20 years before that, most of Dylan's shows were recorded, too. In the earliest 10 years of his career (the 1960s), far fewer shows, proportionately, were recorded but there is still a good cross-section of his evolving style of performance. A fair number of shows are available, in whole or in part, as line recordings (as opposed to audience recordings), as well.  And I haven't even begun to mention small club apperances, interviews, press conferences, radio and TV appearances, his many guest contributions, and so on, let alone the 100 radio shows (each at least an hour long) he did as a DJ. I can't imagine that his shows on this coming tour will escape the efforts of the taping community.

As to whether BD tapers will also tape the MK segments, maybe you should ask nicely.

As to whether there'll be some kind of Dylan/Knopfler bootleg release of a whole concert or more,  those who perpetrate such releases won't be able to resist

Not a surprise twm  ;) They do a incredible job !
A bigger surprise is to see many our MK shows were not recorded at all in 2010 (approx. the first week of UK leg and first week american leg).
Not recorded or .... not shared, that's the same issue, it just means not recorded be enough people.

We used to have a huge video taping community and I'm sure many tapers has got discouraged after the video ban.
Not easy to get back to only audio.

I wonder if I would record Mark's part if I was BD fan.  ???
Why should I take a risk ?
There's no negative judgment or blame in my thoughts. Only a biased view.

As I said before, our taping habits have severely changed, at least mine.  Can't imagine "normal" or open taping anymore.
Band, management, venues has become nervous, suspicious, obsessed about video taping.
Of course there are consequences for audio taping. Still "allowed" but watch you back.
