We all know what Mark's set will be! Hehe

Donegans Gone
Done With Bonaparte
Song For Sonny Liston
Romeo & Juliet
Sailing To Philadelphia
Rudiger
Brothers In Arms
Going Home

Then maybe Mark & Bob will perform
one track together. Maybe 'Knocking On Heavens Door'

Anyone else agree!! ;) ;D :lol

Cheers. BBB

I hope you're wrong BBB!  :o  This set list is the kind MK keeps for his small charity gigs, like the one just gone, but for large venues, which is what I expect, something much more expansive is required to knock those doubting, sceptics on the Dylan forum off their feet!

Some of the stuff from the 2010 tour would be nice.  I'd love to hear Marbletown and Speedway and Coyote done magnificently again, with the whole band and perhaps something from the GL album that hasn't been played live yet.   I don't think any of the old DS stuff will impress Dylan fans at all and I'm pretty sure that MK won't even venture into that territory!

It would be lovely to hear a preview of some songs from the new album too!      :)

still, i for one have no need to hear marbletown again, or coyote, the one exception from last tour would be Get lucky, as it is still "fresh" and HillFarmers coz it is a brilliant powerhouse.
besides that, pls play solo stuff that was not played before, with the one of dire straits rare tune, like Portobello.
solo:
Are we in trouble now, silvertown blues, sands of nevada, don't you get it, no can do, camerado, long highway, Iron Hand etc...
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Like I said, I hope I prove myself wrong!!
I hope Mark ROCKS his arse of (standing hopefully)
and proves to all the Dylan doubters, that he's not boring.

Well, I know a lot of us on this forum might enjoy hearing those songs being played, but on this occasion we are out to impress in a BIG way and I fear that some of those songs may just do what the Dylan fans predict ie send them to sleep!   :o   HFB would be great, though!   :)

Yeah, especially Long Highway - BO-RING. ::)

Another thing to bear in mind is that neither MK or BD will want to be upstaged so the set may be pretty strong IMO.

i always loved the live version of that song, back from it's first rendition in 91.

We must bear in mind that most of the Dylan fans may have never heard Speedway, Marbletown, HFB, etc and these are the songs much more likely to impress the Dylan fans, rather than the more purist material and the usual MFN, SFA.   That's how I see it anyway!   :)

man, all that elitism over there, but also here, i must say, why not just open up, go to a show, and then comment? instead of all those pointless comments? we will not know what they play till day one, and how they will arrange it.
i just posted another rant on expecting rain as well.
am fed up with these "my artist is the more relevant one, more intelectual, blabla bullshit."
either way.

It's called speculation, pottel and it's quite fun!    ;D    BTW I love "The Long Highway" but it's far too slow and drawn out for this particular scene!   :)

I suppose it very much depends on the band as to which songs would be played e.g. Marbletown without McCusker?

Sadly Pottel your efforts have been attacked by a particularly nasty and ignorant forum member (and I use the word member deliberately).  Which is a shame.  Think I'll stick over here, the people seem a lot nicer.
