Sounds a bit like a football match - their side v ours!   ;D

Back to the music - I do like Dylan's stuff, a lot of it anyway, though I'm not a big fan, but to call MK a one note wonder is hilarious, when Dylan can only sing one note - off key!

At least MK can sing!

 ;D ;D ;D
So Long

No problem. Listen to MK's set,Trip to the bar for Dylan's set and then back in for the finale if/when they play together.Sorted!!
Dylan's singing always reminds me of Roger Rabbit in the film " Who Framed Roger Rabbit" Watch the film and have a listen, the likeness is uncanny. ;D ;D

Do you think MK will play songs from its new/future album?

And what about the MK tour in 2012 after the album release?
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Oh boy this is exciting! Huge fan of MK as well as Dylan, though Dylan's singing voice is - these days - 'somewhat' strained.

They basically have to confirm or disconfirm this pretty fast now so I'll relax until then and not get carried away.

Bring my video camera, record Dylan's set, turn camera off during MK's set, record again if they play together (record only half songs, Dylan's share).

too funny....
anyways, what is all the hassle about, we get an EXTRA tour. stop moaning people....
and it is not as if dylan doesn't tour enough, the man is a walking, sleeping, breathing tour.
about his performance, just yesterday was i listening to his performance of "Things have Changed" (great song) at the Sursee festival (sursee ring a bell??) and it was BRILLIANT..
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I'm jealous.  I wish I could be there, but a trip to Europe is not in my budget.  Hopefully someone will record it ;)

I'm sure Guy knows the 'cat is out of the bag', so to speak.  Otherwise he would have posted the Dylan posts and said "NOPE".

I'm not a huge Dylan fan but he does have some great songs.  I think the two of them sharing the bill is fantastic.  Good for MK for being so energetic and productive, as usual. :-* :-*
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright

Of course, we do not know whether MK will simply back Dylan, like for Clapton. I kind of like the idea of seeing MK in another band, it would be a nice change.

Would be good if MK and his band backed Dylan, but I don't think MK could handle a different set and different arrangements every night.

I am sure now because Guy didn't answer my querie. I am really excited, and like Joanzimm, I also agree that it is great to see him so productive. I am also sure that this only will be a "baby tour" for him and that he will tour next year again with his own new release. That's what makes it so great to be a MK fan these days!

I am almost sure that he will play one or two of his new songs in his set when touring with BD... Maybe the whole new album is a hommage to Dylan (lots of Martin guitars) and maybe they will film or record some stuff and put it into the later bonus stuff of the new album...

Only bad thing about it is that next year we will have the end of the world, so it's only a few months to enjoy the new stuff and the next Simfy Live recordings.. ;D

I really hope he'll play "Blind Willie McTell", also "Things have Changed" would be great to hear played live!   :)

The thing about Dylan is when I recognize the song it is almost over...  :lol
I have seen him twice in the 90's, both times great shows, great band, but indeed the audience on a Dylan show is sometimes ... "special". Lots of people proclaiming things outside the venue, lifting posters with strange messages... And the average age is even higher as with Mark's shows...

But it will be an interesting experience I am sure, the crystal clear, pristine sound of MK's band compared with Dylan's "soundbrei"...
