I'd say its a cross between Harrison Ford,Jack Nicholson aka heres Johnny,David Carradine,Mark Hamill & Humphrey Bogart - the only thing is that none of them ever played Jamie You were probably looking at a best of the 70's over the weekend with a skinfull on board

He apparently got bad advice from his agent who told him there was no life left in the series and to leave the role to concentrate on other roles!  I take it he got fired shortly after that advice!
