Dire Straits remixed!!
« on: March 16, 2011, 09:42:54 AM »
Hi. I was ploughing through page after page of youtube footage of DS the other day and found these.

Quite clever i thought, although the Sultans remix uses footage of the R&J and TOL videos ::) ;D

There are some truley horrendous remixes out there, and i know that none are official, although i think Deepdish did some which might of got some chart interest in the 80's & 90's.

What do you think?

Hi BBB!   I didn't expect to, but actually I really enjoyed these remixes, but probably MFN less so, because it seemed a bit half and half and less remix, if you get my meaning!   :)

Hehe Well made, particularly Sultans. MFN was awful though, both musically and visually (Madonna makes me sick to my stomach).

There is one MFN remix which is very good, I think it is the Deep Dish one.

There is one by The Purple Kings which is awful.

Not really a remix, but Relax by Deetah sampled Why Worry and was a great little track.

I really enjoyed Sultans. Could happily put that on my iPod.

Weird Al used MFN for Beverly Hillbillies. He definitely should have used THIS version ... Wonder why the banjo never found a wider audience ...

Did you know Deep Dish is actually a spelling mistake? Initially it was called Deep Sh*t. I think they "produce" the worst sound samples behind each other... ::) Maybe they should find some inspiration outside the Room-101-studios... Sorry can't help it, but it's crap imo. ;D
