Hi all guys on forum.

I was glad to see Mark 3 times (I hope to see him more in the next years)

-Caen, France (16th July 1996) 3 hours of show.
-Marseilles, France (06.04.2005)
-Nantes, France (08.04.2008)

The first and the third times were really the best. Sound in Marseilles could be much better.

But it's a real to see the band every time they play.

I went to my 1st gig in 85 already a massive fan.
As a teenager at the time, my bedroom was a shrine to Dire Straits.
Every wall, and even the ceiling covered in Dire Straits posters.

I remember that my mum took a photo of my room and sent it to the DS information service at Southwick Mews in London. They sent back a signed photo of MK.

I went to my first concert already a huge fan.  It was 1993 at Leeds Town & Country Club and it was a charity concert with Steve and Brendan.  I was SO excited, because after being a fan since 1983, I finally got to see my hero live and close-up too! I was on the front row of the balcony of a very small venue (around 800 people) and I think I almost fell over the balcony in my excitement!  That was the occasion he sang "Ticket to Heaven" and "How Long", so I suppose I was very fortunate. Of course, I will never forget that concert!

Not a very long list but not too short for a Greek fan. I have to travel a lot at every Mark's tour..

Best one, 2nd night in Barcelona '96, in Monumental Bulring. More than life experience! Great city, great place, great spanish atmosphere and three whole hours of Mark in a perfect mood.. RAH was a sight for sore eyes.  Glasgow, Clyde auditorium, perfect sound and performance show, and last show in Athens was a thousand years expectation of Mark visiting my home town with thousands of townmates not beleiving their ears...

No, unfortunately no recordings from the Athens show as far as I know. Only just a few vids in youtube. I sugest "Sultans of Swing" from niii000. Great view from just 3 meters away and fantastic atmosphere of a dreamshow!!!

The Athens show has been made into a dvd--albeit lossy, some good shots, some out of focus.   The clips vary in quality, and most of the songs start just a fraction after the true beginning, so the dvd is not 'pleasant' listening.  Nevertheless, most of those clips have been gathered into one place.
