Yeah, normally starts off with MK and GF running through some songs and discussing arrangements doesn't it? Then they would need to decide what personnel they need.

Hopefully they bring the whole band in to record live though, no coincidence IMO that KTGC is MK "least good" album.

I agree totally. I had the idea that MK changed his opinion about Guy's recording diary. Maybe he wants to keep it all a little bit more "exclusive". So I thought maybe they already work on the new album for some weeks, Mark and Guy that is, and maybe Guy will not provide a weekly diary this time.
However, this is what I thought - and also what I HOPE!  ;D

That's your opinion... I think that KTGC is great, actually much in the vein of the acclaimed "Communiqu

"Shangri-La" contains some of Mark's greatest songs of his solo career: 5:15 am, Back To Tupelo, Song For Sonny Liston, Postcards from Paraguay... ...
Love it! KTGC contains not too many really great songs,(it sounds great though), I only return to "In The Sky" and "We Can Get Wild" regularly...

But as you said: Matter of taste!  :-*

Excellent news at last!! Makes sense after a 'big' tour to have time for himself/family and then back into the studio for yet more I would expect ground breaking work!!

So this thread has had its days and we should open a new one, called NEW ALBUM IN PRODUCTION, shouldn't we. I will do it, but let's wait until he gets into more detail...

As I started the thread, 'No news is good news' way back when when I hoped the lack of news meant a new album in the works, I agree, close this thread move it to the new one. So, no news was good news after all!!

Remember, the last "news" turned out to be the Bap Kennedy thing - very nice, but not the new album/promo tour/tour we were hoping for.

Totally off topic, but I had a listen to Bap's previous stuff (http://www.bapkennedy.com/main/the_music.asp - full albums, low quality sound). This guy's got some nice music! Sounds a bit like Jimmy Nail, but less commercial, I guess. Will be cool to hear what Mark has managed with Bap.
