Just looked at John McCusker's schedule. He doesn't have 3 weeks off in June. His last June gig is 25/6 and his first July one is 10/7. That's a two week gap approximately. Don't know if it means anything. ???

He's on it! Recording the next days with Mark:

Guy gave some new answers today! There is one that alarmed me especially: A lady named Linda Meehan asked for a new Live DVD to update her collection (blimey, great idea, why never nobody of us asked it that way  :lol ) and the Doc answered: "All looking good, I'll announce more when I can."

That sounds promising, doesn't it?

Cool info about John McCusker btw. Does that mean he will be working with Mark and Guy BEFORE the band comes in?

I don't want to sound uncharitable, but Gilmour looked like he'd had quite a few fry ups in that Wall video...

Great news that the album is go, although it looks like we're heading in a folky direction again. Not a bad thing though if the songs are as good as Get Lucky. If they are like KTGC, well, um, er...

I've heard a lot better renditions of "Comfortably Numb" in the past.   It certainly didn't give me the goosebumps I have had before.  :-\

I'm very pleased that John McC is in the band again.  I really like the folky feel in GL and I have been listening to KTGC a lot lately too. There is a definite aura about it that I really like.   :)

Let's hope for the best, but Guy might well have been replying to her comment about the new album rather than the DVD enquiry.

New forum news from Guy, about a question related to John McCusker  ;):

Yes indeed, John is here along with Danny Thompson and Luke Brighty for a small private charity event.

Surprising us again...

So John may not necessarily be on the new album!    ;)

It seems so. However, when I read again Guy's entry about the band, I read very clearly that  "There will be a few changes to the recording line-up".

So it hasn't automatically to be another folky album because John McC. is maybe not on it. But also all his fans should not fear too much because the "touring band" is probably another cup of tea... And he might stay in it, even if he is not on the album. Or maybe he comes in later to do one little thing here and there. Just think how impressive that flute solo on Get Lucky was...

I only wonder about Mark's schedule: During recording for a new album putting up a "little private" charity... Lots of stuff going on there for sure...

Yes, I already thought about that.  Afterall,  not many songs from the latest album have been played on recent tours.  So John and Mike could still be there on tour!   Maybe a bluesy album then!   :)
