The last GL concert in Gredos
« on: July 24, 2010, 01:52:36 PM »
It just read that Pieta Brown and Bo Ramsey will support MK and the band again in Gredos.
Also a band from Valladolid called Arizona Baby will perform there.

Seems there will be a great last concert party.

As I heard there are 2 different stages and ticket sales crossed the 9000 mark.

Seems to be very cool location...

After reading Guy's last diary entry (and also the latest forum answers) I have the feeling that somehow he is not too confident about a possible next tour. He never sent so "sentimental" words to Mark, it really sounds very deeply moved. Let's hope Mark really will do it again. It could also have been
the last MK tour!

Come on you two!  Guy can't exactly come out and say "we're touring again in two years" unless he is absolutely certain about it so I guess we'll all have to wait until MK gives the go-ahead.  I must say though that I think personally he sounded as positive as normal end of tour.

I just read Guy's last diary and also the forum and for some reason, I had the same feeling as you, LE, and it left me feeling a bit uneasy and emotional about the future of the band and what will happen next.  I know touring will inevitably come to an end one day, but please, not yet!  Life just would not be the same without the usual album/tour every two years and meeting  all the fans!

Guy did say, a few days ago, that there was lots of good stuff to come, so maybe he was just feeling a bit sad today because it's the end of this tour, which is very understandable, of course.

Anyway, here's to the next album and tour - cheers!    :D

I hope so, too! I am not prepared for never seeing him again in the future!  :o What I would appreciate however is maybe waiting until 2012 or even 2013 for another album if after that it would be worth the wait... He should break out of this two-year-album-tour-schedule to think about it, write really classic great songs and get energized again for another tour...  But then again it is such a long time to wait!

We have a lottery jackpot in Germany about 10 Million Euros (I think), and I was reading the ad and thought "if I would win this, I would do the same thing as Isaac did - best hotels and stuff, first row of course. The blogging thing could be something I possible would fail at, but apart from that this would be my first idea to spend so much money... what does this saying about my momentary mental condition???  :disbelief  :disbelief

And I am about to download the Locarno show, just for fun, after reading those frenetic review from the same Isaac...

I want a new album!  ;D

I will do the same with 1 million!

But this is not fun... We all thought the same thing by reading Guy's latest entry... I was feeling the same :'(
Especially by this sentence: regardless of whether or not we do it again. (and just for the record, we all hope very much that we will)
And his Thanks to everything and Mark story... Maybe Mark won't do it again with this back injury... So hoping for a full recovery soon!

As soon as I read the words "regardless of whether we do it again or not", I was sorry he wrote them.  I knew it would send everyone into a panic.  I think Guy was on an emotional high (or low) when he wrote that sentimental post.  I imagine he will be getting questions from fans about whether there will be a tour in 2012.  I doubt Mark makes that decision this early.  I believe that his back will be fine, and that we'll see them in 2012.   :) :) :)
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright

I was moved by GF last few sentences.  These 2 days I feel soooo sad.  No more RB, GF, and Isaac diaries to look forward to reading.   :'(

Jepp.
Very sentimental words Guy used.
I had the same thoughts as LE.

Let's see what happens.

First his back has to recover.
And: The band need holidays for a minimum of 4 weeks...

Maybe we get next news in september or october

It's fun to think about what we would do if we had "endless" amounts of money, but even if it was financially possible there's no way I could or would want to do what Isaac did. The travelling and meeting people would be fun, but I've got people who love me and depend on me and there's no way I could be away from them for four months. Some may see that as a hindrence or burden. I see it as a good thing. :)

On the speculation, MK has said before that he plans to be playing when he's 80 so I think there's life in him yet, but if he does call it a day, he's going out at the top. :)

Based on how prolifically creative and a workhorse MK is there is NO way he is going to stop releasing albums and touring....can you REALLY see MK sitting on a beach somewhere for the next 20 years.......he will be back in the studio "noodling" before we know it! ;D
