An emotional MK story that has meant something to me..
« on: September 03, 2008, 10:13:32 PM »
Hi Everyone

I do not know why, but I want to share a MK story that I will never forget, that involved both my sister and a dear friend trough 22 years. It was very emotional, perhaps thats why...

A few years ago (MK/EH tour) I bought tickets for my sister and brother in law as well.
It was a present to them as they rarely

What a beautiful story, Peter! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I felt as if I was there, opening the surprise gift and then... greeting the surprise guest! It sounds like everyone had a lovely evening-all thanks to you and Mark Knopfler!

Well done!

Thank you, Peter, that is a great story.  For me the best part of it was the love in all the giving and good times.
And yes, it is true.  The concerts at RAH are charity concerts.  The greatness in MK inspires great things in all of us.
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

Great story Peter :)  MK influences people's lives in so many different ways.  It doesn't tire to hear these stories because they're all individual.

Thank you very much for this story Peter!

For his fans Mark is very important and it is great that they come together at his concerts and are able to meet each other. You know in the past I never have been a BIG fan of somebody, although I liked the music of many artists! ::)

With Mark it is different! I play his music every day, I LOVE it! Especial songs of his solo albums make me feel relaxed. I want to know as much as possible and love to watch the pictures and read all the information at the forum. Important is also that Mark, Guy and the other band members act as normal men! I often say they can be my man next door!  ;D ............Haha, I am sure more people wish they were!  Besides, Mark has wonderful, nice and intelligent fans and it feels great to be a part of this group!  :-*

Some people don't understand why I am addicted and talk often about Mark, but hey ........they didn't have an experience like this yet........Wait till they get facinated by Mark or an other person, then they will act the same!  ;D

I loved your story, Peter.  Mark's music seems to have a magical effect on people.
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright
