Best version so far of: Cleaning My Gun ?
« on: June 15, 2010, 03:05:49 PM »
Hi,
I want to buy a simfy which has Cleaning My Gun, (as we did not get that gem) and for those who were fortunate enough to have heard it live, which one is the best ?
(If there is not any difference, April 17 Los Angeles, CA, may be a good choice as a setlist of incredible 19 tracks as a bonus)

cheers peter
Cheers Peter

Unfortunately they are not in soundboard, but I think the US ones with Tim playing the Telecaster are better than the European ones without it.

Dublin end of,first people in Europe to hear it :P :P - it makes up for Thierry Henry's hand of god that robbed us of a place in the world cup - which we would have won by the way ::) ::)

many thanks - maybe one should wait then, till the US shows are on simfy .- as I understand its part of some legal stuff and they should be available later if Im not mistaken about this.
Otherwise Antwerpen or Lux must do it then.

Thanks for info...  ;)

No plan to release the US shows as they were not officialy recorded.

I can assume that PCM and/or Simfy are working to try to unlock this "spitting at fan face imbroglio" regarding the no avaibility of the simfy recording outside Europe.

So I wonder when all these tricky buissnessmen will learn that "global avaibility" is the only acceptable answer now?

I doubt MK or the band would want the early shows released as these are the ones likely to contain the most mistakes in them, so personally I'd be very surprised if they were ever released.

Agree, and I don't expect the frst kickoff show released out.    MK is a perfectionist.

I quite like CMG live simply cos its a new song, but there is a very irritating high pitched keybouard bit of backing at the start and again later on that I find quite painfil to listen to. Prefer Coyote though.  Err, any chance he could play both....?

In which simfy recording of CMG does this high pitched keyboard occur ?? - then I would avoid that recording and go for another one.
I really love that CMG, and is excited to hear whether one can agree with you guys.
(maybe the same reason why Millionaire Blues never has been used live...)
Cheers Peter

I also think that it would be great to hear both CMG and Coyote, but I prefer Coyote too... ;)
