Concert Brighton and pictures!

After waiting for such a long time since September 2009, Jans and I at last arrived in Brighton at May 26th! I have been looking forward to this, oohhh well to be honest I got crazy of waiting, but finally the day was there and in the midday at 3.30pm we met Pottel, Marky, Superval, Colin and their cousin Norma and Tom in front of the Brighton Centre.  :-*

We all went out to drink something and because we wanted to have dinner before the concert we all went to a nice place which Pottel and Marky recommended. They had been there just before we met and yeahhh it really was a nice place to dinner and we had a great time there. At about 6.00pm we went to the Brighton Centre to collect our tickets. When we arrived we saw already some fans waiting in front of the Centre to get in. We collected our tickets and then met Emily from Boston who joined us. She is a very nice lady and it was great to meet her! Because it wasn

Hi Fieneke,   Thank you for your review!  It brings back many happy memories and it was lovely to meet yourself and Jans and all the other fans again.  What a great time we had!   :D    We were so close to Mark too - I can hardly believe it all happened now!

Your pictures are amazing, I have copied them into my MK Picture folder!   :P

Fieneke,

First off, thank you for those amazing pictures.  They are so incredibly awesome.  I love them all especially the one when he grins down at the guitar. Those are really close up pixs of Mark.

I understand that emotion totally when you're just awed - struck by Mark and felt like you were hypnotised by him when you were few feet from him.

102 photo's cor blimey Fieneke!! I took around 300 of the Bournemouth and RAH shows and I have kept around 50 and I thought that was enough!!!!

They are very good photo's none the less though - well done..

ROFL Knopflerfan!  ;D Yeahhh I know it is rediculous, but I was so close to Mark and had such a good position to take pictures, without disturbing other people, that I needed to capture him in my camera!  :P .....With my new camera I was able to take all these pictures and I only had to throw away a few, which is great!

As I told my camera has also the possibilty to make video's, but because I am a chicken I didn't dare to record during the show!  ;D I should have recorded during their break and of course at the end when they wave goodbye to everybody! ......Next week in Amsterdam when I am not in "trance" and only can stand there and watch him playing like the last time, then I will try to make a little video at the end! It is great to see him laughing and of course to have all the other band members at the video as well! ;D

THANK YOU too Joan! I knew you and other ladies would love to watch the close-ups!  ;D

Great stuff Fieneke, they really are good photo's!! I know exactly how you mean about being close up and watching him he is just sooooo goooood to watch!!! Not like that of course!!! I mean playing guitar....
