Welcome knopflerfan and thank you for the photos!  I love "the master takes a bow" -- so great to see MK on his feet again

Of note was that Mark did get up a few times during the two hours or so, not to play but in between numbers.
I guess he is still in pain as the expressions showed on his face at times during his playing. What an absolute master though!!

I cannot believe that you both won't be at the RAH! I miss you already, I really loved your company too. Please send me your email address, you know why, do you?
BTW, my voice is almost back, saw my GP on Saturday. It's a bronchitis, but the good news is that I'll survive it! ;-)

Thankyou very much for the kind words superval99.. and yes I'm sure I will like it on here too as everyone seems very friendly here....

A bit of trivia for those that don't know and that is that Mark has only now played Bournemouth BIC twice during his 'solo' career  the first time was on the 17th May 1996 and yes I was there!!!
Mark incidently played with the 'Notting Hillbillies' at the nearby Poole arts centre (Now 'the lighthouse) on the 15/04/1990.

Just noticed on this video (second one), myself (white hair), Ingridswing, Pottel and Marky in front of MK!

That's just so much like a dream.  Right in front of Mark , see/hear him plays for the entire 2 hours!!!  I'll give up everything I have for that.  I wasn't LUCKY enough to be that close.  I was always 4-5 rows back. Except at Temecula for one last song "piper" that was more than words can describe my emotion at that time.

Having watched an amazing concert from this tour last night at home I thought I'd take a look back at my first post on this fabulous forum - over 11 years ago having met Mr Pottel, Ingrid, Superval, Marky49 & knopflerized for the first time at this show in Bournemouth and being encouraged to join AMIT! The rest is history......long may it continue
