I would not recommend the ECM-719. It's not very stealthy and it doesn't pick up much bass. I started out with one way back when and now it's sitting in its original box collecting dust. I even tried to ebay it a while back and no one even wanted it.  

Instead, I would recommend some mics from either of these companies:

The main reason I pick that mic is because you can clip it in your shirt or jacket and it

Hi Jbaent,

Maybe you should get in touch with Chris Church from Church Audio.
He has an Eb** store. Easy to find but I don't know if can put that kind of link here.  
Anyway, he's very active on audio forums and you will find him.
I would suggest his CA11's mics.
It's better to discuss with him : he has many stealthy solutions.
Be careful of the availability and delays.  

I think there was a 2008 recording made with these mics.
I may be wrong but I would say it's one of the french gigs.
You should listen to it to make your own opinion.

My comment on the Sony ECM-719 : I have one of these.
It's so poorly made that the clip is broken.
It's not worth the money.

I would not recommend Chris Church at all. His communication isn't the greatest and his build times are almost a month long. Some people seem to like his gear though.

I was aware of Chris Church's build times. Furthermore, he would have to ship to Europe...  
I've never been in touch with him so I can't say anything about his communication.
Just heard a couple of recordings and it sounds great for the price.

But you're right Dan not to recommend Chris Church : very risky for the Get Lucky tour.

I'm also looking for a new recording gear and I have to say Chris Church was one of my preferred options.
