Really some nice pic's. One of the first ones says "Border Reiver" with Mark on the Les Paul? And I think the screen looks rather small... ;)

"We turned it all the way up and i get this really sparse but crucial part. Just one more detail to handle. Many more to go, of course, but we've learned about eighteen songs."

So, only 18.... And not 32?

He doesn't play on every song. Sultans and Romeo, for instance.

Tim O'Brian: "We all come center stage and take bows and of course the crowd wants more. We confer and check the time, and then play ..."

So that's when they decide how many songs to play for the encore, and why they cut out some of the final songs sometimes.

Just thought, people at the back might not see what's on the screen very well once the dry ice starts going. :-\

They dropped Cleaning My Gun? I have to admit...ugh...that's a shame, as it's one of the best songs on Get Lucky.

Agreed ! I love to hear Cleaning My Gun live.

;) Or because of the curfew. I've seen during the Oslo gigs, that MK gives some signs to different crew members after the "conference". And because they usually base in Oslo, they don't have to cach a plane, so Oslo always get's the longest set with a full encore. I think they during previous US-tours somtetimes have dropped both Going Home and Our Shanri-la, due to time trouble.

It's stupid really, can't they just start the show 15 minutes earlier?

Yes, but according to GF, it's a union thing. They have to use local crew, and the local crew are according to union rules entitled to an obligatory break between the rigging/soundcheck and the show. And then the airport maybe closes at 11 pm... And MK is playing a new show in a new place almost every day. The only solution to this is never to play two shows after oneanother in different places in USA, or to have two stages and crews that alernate.

Airports don't close; what about night-flights?  They have a private jet anyway. ???

I'e often wondered whether they gather round and say to each other "can you be bothered to play another two songs or are you knackered too!" ;D

Yes, many airports are closed at nights, espesially those which are located near city centers and pure GA airports. My nearest airport, for instance, is open between 6.30 am and 11.30 pm. No night flights there, even though it's an international airport.

I'm hoping they bring CMG back, too ???  But I'm also hoping they keep Get Lucky.  The way the setlist keeps changing, anything can happen :)
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright
