I never saw DS but I was lucky enough to hear the Mandela concert around the time it was broadcast and broadcasts from the OES tour. Still remember those feelings of pure excitement of hearing anything DS and MK related in the years before everything was so easy to access on the Internet.  I remember also finding out about the world of bootlegs and then fan recordings.

I was also lucky enough to see MK on the Golden Heart tour; a pivot between DS and solo material and in my hometown in the UK.

If there's only one thing with the benefit of hindsight, I think it would have been good for MK to play Glastonbury is some capacity, even just as a guest. There is a lot of wider affection for DS and MK out there and I think he'd really have gone down well. Alas, that ship has sailed.

Thankful we've got so much to listen to (even if I prefer DS over solo) and hopeful we will get more.

Still regret I didn’t join my parents in ‘96 to the concert nearby in Kerkrade (of all places…). If I had a time machine, I’d go back and fix that. But anyway, it’s history… The M&G in Cologne was cancelled so that won’t happen again either, but also enjoyed some special moments like the Radio 2 KTGC showcase in Amsterdam, being the first one MK waved at to come and get an autgraph, sitting front row and getting a full-band-signed tourbook by mail from GF directly. Still have those items of course. :lol
