Thanks, Rolo!
Unfortunately I can understand only half of it - is he saying that rock music itself is a museum case, or just his own music?

I'm Portuguese and I barely understand anything. It's a terribly written piece, with several mistakes (Mandela show was in 1988, not 1985) and no structure at all. I couldn't even figure out what questions they were asking him.
I also found it funny that the interviewer says he didn't directly answer any of the questions and said that he "lacks focus".

But to answer your question, the "journalist" opens the article by saying that Mark thinks he should be in a museum because he doesn't see any more guitarists like him coming through.

It's hard to imagine that MK would say something like that, because he's always insisted that he's not a great guitarist at all. :hmm

Sounds like the interviewer may be inaccurate with dates but has not sugar-coated the way Mark has been conducting his interviews!
"...and I blew up the radio in pretty short order."

hahaha. Yes, it's terribly written.

To my understandment, the interviewer and MK had a '15min phone call' and maybe, the interviewer could have few questions but, Mark spent the interviewer 15 minutes talking about his life before DS.

The interviewer writes the article telling the DS story and using some lines from the interview as something new.

About "guitarrists like him" - the interviewer used his opinion on that phrase.
Some of MK lines were omitted for this article.

So, Rock And Roll is a museum piece and Electric Guitar is a historical item.

MK said somewhere recently that he was "an editor's nightmare".
Or maybe it's a nightmare editor this time, who knows.
It's probably what you get if you do a 15-minute phonecall at some weird hour, a botch job.
But at least we've got something to complain about.  :lol

Ah.. i just forgot.

The video has nothing to do with this "interview"
It's an old informative video made by Nelson Motta.
He has a bunch of it.
