New book about Infidels Sessions
« on: February 02, 2021, 08:18:01 AM »
Hello

A new book about the Infidels sessions, in which MK and Alan Clark were a big part of it, is available:

https://www.amazon.com/Surviving-Ruthless-World-Dylans-Infidels/dp/1912733390

I just received it and  had a  look quickly, didn't had time to read on detail, but it looks great, with so many details about every sessions, with comments from a Alan Clark interview made for the book, parts from Ed Bicknell emails probably also specifically for the book and of course a lot of references to MK, obviously.

MK house in NY gets mentioned several times in the quick look I had!

I'm looking forward to have time to seat and read it properly. For the look of it I'm gonna like it a lot!

I'd like at the start of the book when is mentioned how Knopfler got the offer... MK was on tour with DS and Bob went to MK house in NY to talk with him as he wasn't at home, Dylan told Lourdes, then MK's wife "please tell him to call me when he can, I want him to produce my next record" lol

Also seems that they did some reunions prior to record at MK's house in NY, MK, Dylan, Alan and Dorfsman.

I'm looking forward to be able to read it properly!

Interesting article, don’t know if it’s from the book (is it any good btw?)
