many years ago I read that Diana really liked both Dire Straits and Duran Duran, but also Elton John of whom she was really a friend. From Dire Straits Diana listened very much to the 'red album'

He's been concert promoter since ages, usually he was one of the promoters of the Princes Trust concerts.

How ironic that he used to be a concert promoter during DS heyday and now he does diddly-squat to promote Mark in his solo career as his manager.
