You might remember that MK composed some songs for a documentary about Swan Hunter Shipyard in Newcastle, broadcasted in June 1994 by Channel 4...
If you saw the documentary (I did it, actually I had it on a vhs tape I lost
) there were some previous MK instrumentals songs, I think from Cal, three new instrumental songs and an ending song with lyrics, so the documentary featured 4 new songs from MK
The song with lyrics was "My Claim To Fame", that was released as a bonus song in the "Darling Pretty" cd-single.
The three instrumental songs are unreleased, but we have it because they are in the famous "Golden Demos" bootleg.
That three songs we only knew the title of one of them, because it was a version of an old song with various titles, "The Water Is Wide", "The River Is Wide" "O Waly Waly" etc, the other two instrumental songs didn't have a title so we know them as Swan Hunter1 and Swan Hunter2.
Until today.
Searching between the ASCAP and ISWC-Net sites I discovered the other two titles, they are "Last Ship" and "Songs for Swans".
It was easy to put the dots together as these three titles had consecutive ISWC-Net numbers
The water is wide ISWC T-011.480.388-1
Last ship ISWC: T-011.480.389-2
Songs for swans ISWC: T-011.480.390-5
If I still had the documentary I guess it would be easy to guess wich one is "last ship" and which one is "Songs for swans" looking at the moment in which the song sounds in the video. Unfortunatley I losed my vhs tape so, at least, we have the titles...
