The 20th SSE Scottish Music Awards ceremony will take place at Glasgow’s SEC on Saturday December 1st. The SSE Scottish Music Awards honour the biggest and best in Scottish music whilst raising vital funds for Nordoff Robbins Scotland.

Mark will not be among those performing but will be attending and on stage to collect his award; Mark will be presented with a Living Legends Award sponsored by Raymond Weil watches.

Well if Mark is able to pick up the award that reads LIVING LEGEND, I don't think he really had problems with Hall Of Fame except for their pressure. What a bunch of losers.

Well, this award is Living Legend for Mark Knopfler, not the band called Dire Straits. 

And if Mark got inducted into RRHOF, he may go and collect the award, as well.(Peter Gabriel of Genesis, Paul McCartney of Beatles did the same)  In my opinion, he just does not want to do the things people tell him should do, such as reunion of DS and performance on stage.
