I googled and found out that they are a Norwegian DS tribute band from north of the polar circle (the city of Narvik?), currently (I think) touring Norway. Their slogan is «we stick to our guns and take the road as it comes». Wonder if they are any good. Norwegians tend to not have too much of an accent when they sing in English, so that’s at least something.
They have some YouTube videos. I might check them out.
Apparently they have toured England quite successfully, with reviews such as:
"The band playes Dire Straits music with passion and their own touch. They are truly fantastic ambassadors for one of the greatest bands in British rock history”. (From their own press release I guess. Original source unknown)
Lineup:
Tore Sivertsen, vokal/gitar
Karl Aksel Vik, sax
Yngve Pettersen, bass/kor
Roger Olsen, trommer
Tor Sigurd Larsen, tangenter/gitar/kor
Kor means backing vocals. Tangenter means keyboards. You’ll figure out the rest quite easilly yourselves.
