A nod to Ry Cooder

Ry Cooder has probably been my biggest guitar inspiration the last four or five years, and I love the sound of the Gold Foil pickup in his Coodercaster.

Today I was doing a bit of bluesy slide noodling in open D, and to me this is pretty close to Ry's sound. It's a Strat with Tele neck pickup into a Line 6 Tone Port (amp sim Deluxe Reverb) - sound from speaker system recorded with phone.
