John Martyn/Danny Cummings?
« on: February 03, 2009, 12:42:48 PM »
As people may have heard, John Martyn sadly died last week, RIP.  :-[

I was having a look round Dime today when I noticed this documentary about him. It mentions some live performances with on Danny Cummings.

Assuming it's "our" danny Cummings he must have been pretty young when he played on them as they date from 1981.

Danny was a very active percussionist in the 80's, he used to record a lot with some spanish groups also, like Radio Futura, one of the most famous at that period.

In the 90's and the 2000's he played a lot with Jarabe de Palo (also some tours) and Amaral, two of the top selling bands in Spain.

Got the DVD - it is our Danny (LOL) who tells about his work with John Martyn. It was a bit sad DVD imho...
